Traditional Lasagna

Traditional Italian lasagna is perhaps the tastiest meal you will ever try. Flavorful and juicy meat sauce, tender bechamel, lasagna pasta, and cheese will simply blow your mind. Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 1 onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • ¼ cup of beef broth
  • 3 cups of marinara sauce
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • ¼ teaspoon of black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon of dried thyme
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh parsley
  • 4 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Bechamel sauce

Method

  1. Pour 1 tablespoon of olive oil into a frying pan, add 1 pound of ground beef, 1 diced onion, 2 finely cut garlic cloves, and cook constantly mixing
  2. Add ¼ cup of beef broth, 3 cups of marinara sauce, ½ teaspoon of salt, ¼ teaspoon of black pepper, ¼ teaspoon of dried thyme, 2 tablespoons of fresh parsley, stir, and cook for 5 minutes
  3. Pour some meat sauce into a glass baking pan, place lasagna pasta on top
  4. Repeat the last step one more time
  5. Sprinkle some shredded mozzarella cheese on top and pour some bechamel sauce on top, add a layer of lasagna pasta, a layer of meat sauce, a layer of bechamel sauce, and repeat this step until you completely fill the baking pan
  6. The last layer should be shredded cheese
  7. Bake your lasagna for 35 minutes at 190C or 375F

Tips

In order to make a home-cooked bechamel sauce, mix 1¼ cup of heated milk, 2 tablespoons of butter, 2 tablespoons of flour, salt and pepper to taste, and cook it on low heat continuously stirring for 10-15 minutes until its texture resembles sour cream.
